In order to replace a PDF you will have to follow the steps below:
1. If you wish to keep the same URL (e.g for QR codes)
- On the left side menu, click on the Media category.
- Find the old PDF that you would like to replace and give the new PDF exactly the same file name (e.g. if the existing one is named restaurantmenu.pdf the new one must also be named restaurantmenu.pdf).
- Delete the old PDF and then click on Upload Files.
- On the new window that opens, in the Upload to section, choose the page where the old PDF was assigned. Then choose the PDF you want to upload and when the upload is finished press DONE.
Click Save to complete the procedure and publish the website to see your changes.
2. If you are not interested in keeping the exact same URL you may follow a simpler procedure
- On the left side menu, click on the Media category.
- Click on Upload Files.
- On the new window that opens, in the Upload to section, choose the page where the old PDF was assigned. Then choose the PDF you want to upload and when the upload is finished press DONE.
- Delete the old PDF (optional).
- On the newly uploaded PDF click on the pencil icon.
- Copy the Shortcode (URL) and click on close.
- Go to Pages and choose the page where the PDF is assigned.
- Replace the old shortcode with the new one.
Click Save to complete the procedure and publish the website to see your changes.
Note: If you have replaced the PDF and published the website and you can't see the changes it may be a cache memory issue. Please delete your browser's cookies or try an incognito window.
