Overview

Schema.org (often called schema) is a semantic vocabulary of tags (or microdata) that you can add to your HTML to improve the way search engines read and represent your page in SERPs. It's a powerful tool for Search Engine Optimization.

Hotelwize supports the hospitality industry related schemas with plugins that can be activated in website pages:

Schema.org Type Hotel

A hotel is an establishment that provides lodging paid on a short-term basis

Should be installed and activated in the Home Page of the website through the specific Plugin.
Go to Configuration and enable option Active. 

Name*The name of the hotel.
Description* 
A description of the hotel.
Telephone
The telephone number.
Star Rating
An official rating for a lodging business.
Price Range
The price range of the business, for example $$$.
Street Address
The street address. For example, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy.
Country
The country in which the lodging business is.
Region
The region in which the locality is, and which is in the country.
Locality
The locality in which the street address is, and which is in the region. For example, Mountain View.
Postal code
The postal code. For example, 94043.
Latitude
The latitude of a location.
Longitude
The longitude of a location.
Amenities
An amenity feature (e.g. a characteristic or service) of the Accommodation.
Pets allowed
Indicates whether pets are allowed to enter the accommodation.
Check In Time
The earliest someone may check into a lodging establishment.
Check Out Time
The latest someone may check out of a lodging establishment.
Hotel Photo*
Upload a photo of the hotel.

Schema.org Type HotelRoom

Defines a room type in a hotel website. Should be activated in Room Type pages

Schema.org Type Suite

A suite in a hotel or other public accommodation, denotes a class of luxury accommodations, the key feature of which is multiple rooms.
Defines a room type in a hotel website. Should be activated in Room Type pages only.

Schema.org Type Apartment

An apartment (in American English) or flat (in British English) is a self-contained housing unit (a type of residential real estate) that occupies only part of a building.

Defines a room type in a hotel website or the the whole website. Should be activated in Room Type pages or in Home Page when applicable.

Schema.org Type Restaurant

This is a page level plugin. Use this plugin in a website Restaurant page.
To activate the plugin, go to Plugins section on the website and locate the schema.org Restaurant plugin.
  1. Go to Configuration and select Active
  2. Go to Activations, locate the page to add the schema.org Restaurant and click Add.
  3. Click on Edit and fill in all the fields.

Name*
The name of the restaurant.
Description*
A description of the restaurant.
URL
The URL of the establishment (optional).
Menu URL
The URL of the establishment's menu, i.e. a PDF, image or webpage (optional).
Telephone
The telephone number.
Price Range
The price range of the business, for example $$$.
Currencies accepted
The currency accepted. Use standard formats: ISO 4217 currency format. For example, USD, EUR, GBP.
Payment accepted
Cash, Credit Card, Cryptocurrency, Local Exchange Tradings System, etc.
Serves cuisine
The cuisine of the restaurant. For example, Mediterranean, Asian, African, French.
Accepts reservations
Indicates whether a FoodEstablishment accepts reservations.
Street Address
The street address. For example, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy.
Region
The region in which the locality is, and which is in the country.
Postal code
The postal code. For example, 94043.
Photo
Upload an image of the restaurant.

Schema.org Type BarOrPub

This is a page level plugin. Use this plugin in a website Bar or Pub page.
To activate the plugin, go to Plugins section on the website and locate the schema.org BarOrPub plugin.
  1. Go to Configuration and select Active
  2. Go to Activations, locate the page to add the schema.org Restaurant and click Add.
  3. Click on Edit and fill in all the fields.
Inside the plugin go  to Configuration and select Active. Go to Activations to Add it on the Bar / Pub page(s). Then edit the page and fill in the following fields with the equivalent information.

Name*The name of the bar / pub
Description*A description of the bar / pub
URLThe URL of the establishment (optional).
Menu URLThe URL of the establishment's menu, i.e. a PDF, image or webpage (optional).
TelephoneThe telephone number.
Price RangeThe price range of the business, for example $$$.
Currencies acceptedThe currency accepted. Use standard formats: ISO 4217 currency format. For example, USD, EUR, GBP.
