Basic IMAP settings  

This are the basic imap/smtp setup configuration settings for all email client software (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail). 

IMAP Incoming Server Settings (Recommended for Incoming server)

Incoming Server Name: imappro.zoho.eu 
Port: 993 
Require SSL: Yes   
Username: your email  
Password: your password 

SMTP Outgoing Server Settings

Outgoing Server Name: smtp.zoho.eu 
Port: 465 with SSL or 
Port: 587 with TLS 
Require Authentication: Yes

To prevent duplicate Sent Items, please do the following: 
File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Double click your Zoho mail account > under "Mail settings" CHECK the box beside "Don't save copy of sent items"

Alert (12 Nov 2024) - Issues of connecting Zoho Mail with Microsoft Outlook - THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED (as of 14 Nov 2024)

Currently, some users are experiencing issues connecting Zoho Mail with Microsoft Outlook due to recent updates and configuration changes in Outlook. This includes difficulties with IMAP and SMTP connections, sporadic disconnections, and the need to frequently reset account settings in Outlook to keep Zoho Mail connected. Part of the problem appears to stem from enhanced security protocols in Outlook, which can interfere with third-party email services like Zoho Mail.

Microsoft has released updates addressing known issues within Outlook, though specific fixes for Zoho Mail integration remain limited. Some users have found temporary workarounds, such as re-authenticating accounts, or reverting to older versions of Outlook when possible, to restore stability in the connection.

Suggested actions you can take:
  1. Either generate an App Password and use it instead of the regular password.
  2. Or revert to the previous version of Outlook.
  3. Or remove the account and add it again.
  4. Or choose another client, e.g. Mozilla Thunderbird or Zoho Mail.
  5. Continue using the webmail version.
