If you would like to upload a PDF file, and share it through a QR code, or if you would like to upload a file for which you would like to have a standard URL which you will use as a link or as a QR code, then follow the steps below:
From the left-side menu, go to Media.
Click Upload Files.
Select the most relative page where you want the file to be uploaded (this doesn't mean that the file will be included in the page).
Click Browse and choose the file from your computer.
When the upload finishes, click Done.
Find your uploaded file in the Media list.
Click the pencil icon (edit).
In the window that appears, copy the Media URL.
From the left-side menu, go to Settings > Advanced > Redirections.
Click + Add New Redirection Rule.
Ensure these options are selected: Active Publish Environment: Live
In Request URL, type your custom URL extension (e.g., /restaurant-menu).
Click Advanced Options.
Under Select Target, choose Target URL.
Paste the Media URL you copied earlier.
Click Save, then Publish Website to push the changes live.
Use any QR code generator and enter your new custom URL (e.g., https://www.yourdomain.com/restaurant-menu/) to create a scannable QR code.
To Update the File of an existing url:
Upload the new version of the file following the instructions above.
Copy the new Media URL.
In Redirections, find the existing rule and update the Target URL with the new Media URL.
