How can I handle a New Request?

There are two cases in which you may receive a New Request on the Bookwize panel:

  1. You have enabled the Requests Option for your booking engine.

  2. During the creation of a new reservation, an issue occurred that prevented the booking from being completed, resulting in a Request being generated to ensure the hotel receives.

When you receive a new request, you can either handle it offline by contacting the guest directly, or manage it within the panel.

To manage the request within the panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the pencil icon on the left side of the reservation.

  2. On the new page, click Change Status at the top right corner.

  3. Choose one of the following options for the guest: 

    • Accept Request: The hotel accepts the request and the guest receives an email to add their credit card details in order for the reservation to be confirmed.

    • Reject Request: The guests receives an email informing them that their request is rejected.

    • Propose an Alternative: The hotel can alter the dates or the room and fill in the price and then the guest receives an email to add their credit card details in order for the reservation to be confirmed.

Notes
Note: The guest can't complete a confirmed request or an alternative proposal if there is no availability for the selected dates.
